Rietveld Analysis Workshop

Rietveld analysis is a powerful method for structural analysis from powder diffraction data. This workshop will involve an introduction to Rietveld analysis and include a 2 hour training session in use of the popular GSAS software for Rietveld analysis. The training will include both single phase and multiphase analysis.

To participate in the workshop you will require your own laptop. You will need to install the following software to carry out and analyse the refinements detailed below PRIOR to the workshop. You should also download the instructions and test files using the links below.

Spectroscopy - next date to be announced

The session on spectroscopy will introduce researchers to the basic underlying theory of a number of spectroscopic  techniques, together with some research-led examples of how the technique can be used. The session will provide an introduction to: Raman and X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy; EPR Spectroscopy; Solid state NMR spectroscopy; Neutron  Spectroscopy and Muon spectroscopy.
